Luis Campos-Garcia aka Lurac is a visual artist and educator from Mexico City. Mr. Garcia’s art is an invitation to creativity and imagination combined with deep reflection on social issues and cultural diversity. Inspired by Mesoamerican and Mexican traditions, street art, and cartoons, Mr. Ramon blurs the lines of fantasy and reality addressing themes that question the hegemony prevalent in today’s society. Lurac’s visual works include paint, photography, digital art, and printmaking. Mr. Ramon studied at Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico before coming to Sacramento and earning his B.A. in Studio Art at CSUS. Lurac is a part of Sublevarte Colectivo, a collective of visual creators in Mexico with members internationally, as well as a founding member of Sacramento ArtC and the curator at Sol Collective.
